The movie

The scene that I have chosen in to kill a mockingbird Is the court scene, When mayella ewell sat down in court she seemed very scared while sitting by Bob Ewell. After bob ewell has spoken mayella got up out of her chair and and sat down in front of the judge, as atticus was speaking to mayella she didnt really know what she was talking about, later, atticus was asking her many questions after a few seconds mayella stood quit she looked through the crowd and said(pg 188" I got something to say and I aint gonna say it no more, that nigger yonder took advantage of me and if you fine fancy gentlemen don't want to do annything about it than you are all yellow stinkin cowards.) After all that nonsence mayella was finished with speach, got up and sat down. Atticus yelled "Tom Robinson" Tom had sat down and atticus was asking him many questions, I felt bad when tom started crying telling atticus the truth, I think that Mayella had no right to do that to Tom robinson, the only reason why Mayella did that was because he was black and Mayella hated blacks.

How the book changed my life!

After finished with to kill a mockingbird I have noticed that I have learned alot of lessons, I have felt like i have cared about more people and stood up for people as well. Some of the parts where atticus was telling scout and jem all of the lessons like on (pg 30 " You never really understand a person untill you consider things from his/hers poin of view .... untill you climb through his/her skin and walk around in it, I think that made me feel so much better than life than what it already was, and to be prepared for life and to be aware of others. after the few months of me being a freshman at olympia high school Ive been trying to be well behaved as possible and I will try to keep people safe as well if they are having a rough time, or if they just want to talk, I beleive that I can do well after learning new lessons in my life.

TKAM life lesson:)

After almost finished with reading to kill a mockingbird, I have noticed that Jem and Scout are acting more mature about things and have been learning alot of life lessons. I think the one of the major lessons were when Aunt Alexandra was trying to teach scout how to be a young adult. The only reason why scout need to be taught is because she is usually around dill, jem and atticus she tends to be more imature about things espically when there is no mother around to help her out, I think thats the reason why Aunt alexandra is around her so much, On page 229 aunt alexandra is explaining to scout " stay with us jean louis, scout was thinking , this was apart of her campaign, to teach me to be a lady. I think that scout did try and did very well. As scout grows up I think that she will learn in life to take actions and be a great mother to her children.

TKAM Themes!!!

In the book TKAM I think that racism was one of the huge deals because, they are always saying the "N" word in almost every paragraph espiacally Mayella Ewell. just like the time on page 180 when she said to the colored man to cut a chiffarobe for her and that she would give him a nickel. And still think that whites are better than blacks. To my opinion mayella had no right and hopefully she wont ever be so terrible torwards blacks again!!!

being in english for 6 weeks now!!!!!

Being in english for 6 weeks has been a great expireance to me, I have learned new vocab new stories and even a new awesome teacher. Im glad that I got to be in your english you have taught us so many things that I havent quit learned about like for example, i have never heard of journal and you had to take notes on the book you are reading. Thank you for sharing all of your information that you know on english mrs gilman and again i am happy to be in your class.



P.S. and i have made alot of new freinds as well.

Atticus as a father!

I think that Atticus is a great parent older parent in my opinion, he knows how to set great examples and knows what he is doing aswell. Atticus trys to set great examples for his children like all men are created equal, when Atticus does try to set examples he always suceeds and knows what he is talking about. " I said that atticus didnt worry about annything besides, the case never bothered us except about once a week, but than didnt last." (pg 138). I think that Atticus tries to be a great parent for example, when he bought those guns for jem and dill, he did that because he knows that he can trust them, and that they would probably end up using it when that would really need to.



I think that My parents are kind of like atticus thay are kind they do trust me but i dont think that they would buy me a gun just to mostly have. Atticus is a great parent and is doing very well of himself, jem and dill are very lucky to have him as a parent.

racism and steriotyping!!!

When scout was being racist torwards black people and talking about nigger talk I was mostly was thinking about scout because it was mostly not her fault because all of the others would not treat her so well and she probably really didnt know any better, and especally when she is a first grader usually when your that kind of age you reallly dont know what you are talking about, she does not have the riht to be blamed especally at her age in my point of view.

My thoughts about boo radley

My Impressions Of Boo Radly
In the last few chapters of reading to kill a mockingbird i was a little freaked out about boo radley, how he acted,reacted to things and how he would spy on stephanie crawford and how she would always wake up in the middle of the night having her catch him stare at her thru the window shades. The maycomb people especially would also wonder about him, and hearing rumors about him. The maycomb people wanted to avoid it, but the rumors were never true to my opinion.



If i were to be a character I would probably be Jem because he is most brave, and most mature about things, and he knows how to make a right choice. Even if their were other characters like jem i would probably choose him anyways because he knows what he is doing all the time and he is truthful about everything, just like me .

what I have liked about 9th grade English

So far while being in ninth grade English i have really enjoyed myself, the teacher is awesome, the kids are great and the homework is easy and there is not to much to do, even though we have been in school for only a few weeks I feel like I am at home. :)
